Sometimes, people call Hradec Králové „the open air architecture textbook “. There are architectural monuments ranging from the gothic to the contemporary times. You are welcome for a guided walking tour around the city. The tour will begin and finish in front of the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Free tickets (limited amount!) will be available at the registration desk. |

The cathedral was founded probably by Queen Elizabeth Richeza in 1308. It is a brick building with two towers in a Gothic style. Throughout its history, burned down several times and was always renovated. At the end of the 19th century there was a pseudo-gothic reconstruction. |

It is a unique monument of central European town-planning, architecture and statuary art, originally comprising a spa, a chateau, a hospital, a theatre, ecclesiastical edifices and sets of High Baroque statuary. The only remaining remembrance of the old glory and monumentality is the still standing Hospital of Mercyful Brethern, surrounded by masterpieces of European art - Braun´s sculptures of Virtues and Vices. In the present building of Hospital, the visitors will find the originals of the statues, a Baroque apothecary´s, a crypt of the Hospital´s founder, František Antonín Špork, Czech Pharmaceutical Museum and many other things. In the near vicinity, at Žireč, you will find Braunův Betlém (Braun´s Nativity) - a natural park with a gallery of Baroque sculptures, depicting Biblical scenes. |

The National Stud at Kladruby nad Labem is one of the oldest studs in the world and home to the oldest original Czech horse breed: the Old Kladruber horse. The tradition of horse breeding in Kladruby nad Labem stretches back to at least the mid-14th century. For over 300 years (1579–1918) it was an imperial court stud providing horses for the royal and imperial court in Prague and Vienna. Nowadays the National Stud keeps around 500 horses. |

Hrádek u Nechanic is one of the most prominent buildings of the Romantic period in the Czech Republic and is a National Cultural Monument. It was built between 1839 and 1857 and originally served as a representative hunting lodge of the House of Harrach, a Bohemian and Austro-German noble family. |
